Presentation Guideline

Oral Presentation

The plenary and keynote presentations will be arranged in the Ballroom-B without parallel session on Monday and Tuesday 19-20 October 2009.  All contributed oral presentations will be arranged into four parallel sessions in four adjacent rooms on the mezzanine level of Sofitel Centara Grand Hotel on Wednesday 20 October 2009 from 8:30-17:00 (8.30am-5.00pm). You can find your oral presentation code number, time and location in the full conference program downloadable from the ICPE 2009 website.

Presentations are requested to be in Microsoft PowerPoint (preferably 2003 format). Each plenary or keynote presentation will last for 45 minutes. The contributed oral presentation will be 15 minutes with questions- answer time already included.

Contributed oral presenters are requested to submit your presentation electronically in advance so we have sufficient time to load the laptop computer. This can be done by bringing your Microsoft PowerPoint presentation on a CD that is labeled with your name, presentation number, time of presentation, and title of file to the upload desk no later than 17:00 (5pm) of Tuesday 20 October 2009.

Please note that personal laptops will NOT be permitted for use during the contributed oral sessions due to time limit and tight schedule. PC-compatible laptop computer and LCD projector will be provided in each room. However, for plenary and keynote speaker, presentations can be made from own personal laptop. Please inform the staff at presentation desk.

Poster Presentation

Your poster should be self-explanatory in effectively demonstrating the scientific interest of the results and summarized by a conclusion showing what has been learned and why the results are interesting and useful. Please avoid extensive blocks of text. Use a few bullet-type charts, figures, tables, equations, etc. to indicate as well as highlight the important technical content of your work. Please avoid simply posting the pages of the written version of your full paper as these will not make an effective poster presentation.

The poster session will be arranged in Ballroom-A of Sofitel Centara Grand Hotel on Tuesday 20 October 2009 from 15:30-17:00 (3.30pm-5.00pm). You are requested to be at your poster during such time. However, you should be able to start display your poster since the afternoon of Monday 19 October 2009. You are also requested to remove your poster by the end of poster session.

It is important that you place your poster code number at the top right corner of the poster. You can find your poster code number in the full conference program downloadable from the ICPE 2009 website.

One panel is available for display of each poster. Each poster will be attached to one side of an acrylic board with 80-cm width by 120-cm height. Please make sure that your poster size will not exceed the maximum assigned dimensions stated above.

Kindly prepare your poster ready to be attached to the board only with tape. Presenters are requested to prepare their own adhesive tape as either transparent adhesive tape or dual-side sticky tape. Glue or staple are not allowed.
